Mission Bravo, Mission Charlie & Mission Delta simultaneously. Mission Bravo: 1 PAX runs up Forest Ave hill to Colville St and back to circle (about 1 mile total). Mission Charlie: 1 PAX runs across walking bridge and back (about 1 mile total). Mission Delta: remaining 3 PAX do Team Total of 100 dips, 200 lunges in place, 300 Big Boy Sit Ups. As runners return, they can join in. Once Mission Delta is complete, move on to,

Mission Echo: Team Total: 200 burpees, 5 circle laps running, 1 circle lap lunging. Then,

Mission Foxtrot: Team Indian runs to Blue Rhino and back. Then,

Your mission are the works prepared in advance for you to do. Because Jesus has already done the good works to save me, the pressure is off and I am free to complete my mission knowing I do not need to perform for my salvation or for God’s favor. I am free to be the workmanship I was created to be and I can complete the works (my mission) prepared in advance for me to do.

Mosey back down and come back for the 6. Bernie Sanders 1/2 mile up hill past pool to upper parking lot wall. Crawl bear (inverted bear crawl) up grass hill. Mosey back down and if you are in the lead you do 5 burpees. Time.

    John 15:11 “These things I have spoken to you, that my joy may be in you, and that your joy may be full.” Jesus had been talking about how He is the vine and we need to be connected to Him in order to produce any fruit and the bottom line is “abide in my love”. Interesting that in this verse 11 Jesus moves from His joy to our joy. If we are connected to him and abide in him (the Word), His joy becomes our joy, and our joy becomes full.

      Thang One: Jonas Lunges
      PAX begins lunging as a group. Whenever you become the 6, you mosey to the front of the PAX and then resume lunging. PAX lunged and moseyed all the way down to the lower gate.

      Thang Two: The MilliBurpeed
      Each PAX does 5 burpees on a sidewalk square all lined up, then moseys to the front of the line of PAX and does 5 burpees in whatever sidewalk square is immediately ahead of the PAX first in line doing burpees. All the way up the sidewalk. 401+ sidewalk squares completed. 2005+ burpees completed by PAX.

      Thang Three: The Big Thank You x 4
      Mosey around and past the little thank you hill and down to the base of the Big Thank You. Bernie Sanders up, Big Boy Situps until 6, mosey down. Rinse and repeat. Bernie Sanders and/or Bear Crawl up, Big Boy Situps until 6, mosey down. Jail break up, Big Boy Situps until 6, mosey down. Jail break across field to start. Low plank until time.

      Q was saved by a few well-timed 10-counts as he heard muttered threats of mutiny during the MilliBurpeed. PAX completed 0.2% of the Million burpee challenge. All before breakfast. Jonas Lunges are named after Skitch’s many-times-great-grandfather Jonas Cattell who was the “Paul Revere on foot” who saved American troops in a NJ town during the Revolutionary War by running 10 miles through the woods to warn them of a surprise British attack. Jonas was half Leni Lenape (Delaware) Indian, and Jonas Lunges are like half an Indian Run, just a lot harder, a bit slower and the PAX stay together.         PAX Bear Crawl in cadence to Q’s count to 10, then 20 burpees on your own, then 30ish big boy situps until Q calls halt/recover, then 40ish broad jumps. First field completed, rinse and repeat across the circle field toward the coupon collection at the base of the Great Hall.

        Select coupon(s) and alternate between lunging and mosey with coupon(s) until reach the bottom of Mt. Midoriyama by way of the dip circle where dips were done in cadence.

        10 burpees, Bernie up Mt. Midoriyama, mosey down, big boy situps until 6. 10 burpees, bear crawl up Mt. Midoriyama, mosey down, big boy situps until 6. 10 burpees, backwards bear crawl 1/3 way up Mt. Midoriyama, mosey down, big boy situps until 6.

        Pick up coupons and mosey back to return coupons. Mosey sans coupons to side of first field. Line up and lunge to parking lot. Time.

        Psalm 84. Q shared and meditated on the psalm and expressed how much he longed to get back together with others in house of worship.

          Mosey to Front Lot 1st Island
          1st Thang: While Q considers how not to complicate the exercise, he calls early audible of 10 burpees OYO while he thinks. Then PAX split into 2 teams and each team does 10 reps of any exercise of choice in each parking space (or 5 burpees) and next PAX does same thing in next unoccupied parking space until each team works their way down the parking lot to the 2nd Island.

          2nd Thang: Mosey to wall. Wall sits until pain, with varieties thereof.

          3rd Thang: Mosey to base of hill. Pair off and 1 pair runs up the hill while the other 2 pairs do merkins. Pair 2 runs up when Pair 1 reaches top. Pair 3 runs up when Pair 1 returns. Rinse and repeat with big boy sit ups replacing merkins.

          4th Thang: Run to the top together. Lunge a long long way to start.


          COT

          We did a lot of 13 and 37 rep sets. Both are odd but when added together are a beautiful 50. My son turned 13 yesterday. I am 37. We had a long talk yesterday about speaking the truth in love and building others up according to their needs that it may benefit those who listen. It wasn’t an easy talk and it was a lot longer than I planned. Consequently, I ran out of time to prepare the workout like I had planned. As it turned out, I was preparing for the COT without knowing it. Speaking the truth in love and building other up according to their needs with our words is essential as we navigate these very unusual times.

          The early audible caused a bit of confusion, but the PAX were gracious with the Q. Free Candy was trying to work out the 13 and 37 combos. The flag was from Hill City, but I don’t think anyone noticed in the Gloom. The coffeeteria in the parking lot after the workout didn’t require coffee but was super sweet and we were applying the COT straightaway – Ridgecut excels at building others up with words – good 2nd F modeled.

              The night before there was a 65% of rain. When we awoke there was a 0% chance of rain. The second forecast was correct. 3 layers was too much.

              Hiding the Burpees

              We moseyed to the big circle.
              ABS, SBA, BAS, BSA, ASB, SAB

              In 2 groups of 5, we worked our way around the big circle, sidewalk square by square. On each sidewalk square, a PAX did 5 Aquamen, 5 Squats, and/or 5 Burpees. You could do all 3 on one square or just one, but the square wasn’t complete until PAX jointly completed ABS, SBA, BAS, BSA, ASB, or SAB in chalk on the square indicating all the exercises had been completed. We completed the small circle on the stage as well. Mosey to the alley where 1’s wall sat while 2’s did 10 burpees; swap; rinse and repeat; rinse and repeat. Mosey back to parking lot for 10 more burpees, some low planks, and some big boy situps. Time.

              Ephesians 4:15-16 “Rather, speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ, from whom the whole body, joined and held together by every joint with which it is equipped, when each part is working properly, makes the body grow so that it builds itself up in love.” Whether it’s the 1 Million Burpee Challenge or giving an encouraging word, we daily have a small part to play to build up the body.

                We moseyed, lunged, and bear crawled to the Food City parking lot, out the entrance, around the backside of 1885 and to Clumpies. In between we did burpees, merkins, and wall sits. At Clumpies we did dips and incline merkins near the incline. On the way back with went up steps and on our hands and feet, shuffled a top the board walk. We did more burpees and lunges.


                COT

                Be faithful in the few things we control and trust God with all the things we do not. As I get older, the less I know (justified, true belief), but faith can fill the gap.

                  A modification of prior Landfill games…

                  Man Checkers

                  Each PAX advance to the next black or red square. Do 10 merkins or 10 squats or 5 burpees on said square. If no coupon is on your square, advance to the next black or red square. If 1 coupon on square, advance 2 squares, depositing coupon on 1st square before advancing to 2nd square. If 2 coupons on square, advance 3 squares, depositing a coupon on the 1st and 2nd square before advancing to 3rd square. On your destination square do your 10 merkins or 10 squats or 5 burpees. If your destination square is occupied by another PAX, skip that square and advance to the next unoccupied square. At any point if you are the 6 and there are coupons on any square behind you, you may go back and collect those coupons and mosey all the way to the 1st unoccupied square ahead of the front PAX. First PAX to reach tire, carry or roll tire to the top of the Big Thank You and then roll it down the hill. From where it ends up, carry or roll tire to another PAX and swap places. PAX receiving tire carries or rolls tire up hill, etc. Rinse and repeat until all PAX reach pavilion. Return remaining coupons. Modify as necessary.

                  Mosey to base of the Big Thank You. Bernie up the Big Thank You. Hold plank until 6. Karaoke and Bernie and bear crawl the field/ridge until pavilion. PAX take turns leading Mary (pickle pointers, bicycles, etc.) while Q retrieves flag from vehicle thereby rescuing PAX from burpee penalties. Low plank until analog time called.

                  The Night and Day Paradigm (from The Book of Mysteries by Jonathan Cahn):

                  Skitch fell again. This time no one saw it, so the only proof he had was that he was covered in mud. The rules to Man Checkers need to be simplified. We modified. There were many burpees done but we didn’t count them all. Tires coming down the Big Thank You are a force to be reckoned with and add mild peril appropriate to Man Checkers. No one stole any phones because no one left phones on the tables. We had no Friendly New Guys. Or Gals.

                    We have very little control over the events in life and each day. Yet we have a lot of control over how we respond to them. Do we work with diligence, are we faithful to the task at hand? How do we respond to unexpected words or actions from our boss or our kids?
