Mosey to Base Camp #2 (2’x2′ squares towards W 40th St), BURPEE TRAIN – 1 Jump forward 1 Burpee, 2 Jumps forward 2 Burpees, 3 Jumps forward 3 Burpees, 4 Jumps forward 4 Burpees, 5 Jumps forward 5 Burpees. Hold plank when finished. It was raining on and off during the entire workout. At which point everyone’s feet were drenched, we got on the ground for some bear crawls. I doubt there wasn’t a dry spot on anyone. We did a little groin stretch at one point, where Backfire came up with the name TenderGroin

    Being that we are on the tail end of our initial clothing drive, I chose to close us out with a COT similar to one we did a few weeks back. It all ties around our Contribution verses our Capacity. I used a balloon analagy and likened it to how they can be a little tougher to blow up at first and has little capacity, but with some stretching (getting out your comfort zone) and some more air (effort) then that balloon begins to expand it’s capacity. As we walk daily my challenge is to increase our contribution to be closer to our capacity and we will truly grow

          Let me thank Candu for conducting the warmup as I had just finished my 6.25 mile Ruck 5 min before go time (0530), and forgot that I was on Q for the morning. What can I say, getting old is a bitch.

          Lets just call this a Little of This and a Little of That!

          We stayed right in the parking lot area, as I didn’t feel like going for a run, and opted to do cardio with a bunch of stations (12 to be exact) with little to no rest in between. Each station was done AMRAP in 60 Sec, and round 2 in 45 Sec. We had options! Between stations PAX could Bear Crawl or Walking Lunge. In addition we had options at the 3 weighted stations to conduct any upper body exercise (Curls, Triceps, Kettle Swings, Bent Over Row, etc.) The 5 PAX who were there showed great drive and motivation to stay with me!

          So I’ve completed my Ruck and there is 5 min until BeatDown starts…I walk up to Sunburn and ask; “So who’s leading this gaggle today?” He replies; “Some Old Guy!”, so I say; “oh you are!” (Respect)…..He realizes I’m being serious and say’s; “You are Q today!” Talk about getting your pucker factor up!!! The great news here, is always be prepared as you never know when you will be asked to take a leadership role somewhere else in your life!

          Oh and there was the whole conversation about thongs, Brazilian wax, and the length of hair that appropriate to have on a human butt! Yea, that’s right you Fart Sackers that didn’t show up today missed all that!

Burpees (10 Reps) or Imperial Walkers (20 IC Reps) control movement from one station to the next. All PAX perform AMRAP until Burpees or Imperial Walker reps are complete. Once a set is complete all PAX rotate counterclockwise to next station by Bear Crawl. Once a complete round is done all PAX proceed to center station where all PAX do Mountain Climber, Plank Jacks, and SSH (IC 10 Reps). Then proceed back to where they started and Rinse and Repeat.                     Word of the day is “strength.” We all come to F3 to get stronger mentally, physically and to build stronger relationships. What do we do with our strength? Q shared about recent struggles in parenting not using strength in anger – making my kids do something because I am frustrated with them, but realizing later it scared them or hurt them. That is not the kind of strength I need to be cultivating. PAX were encouraged to find ways they can use their strength and leadership to build up family, friends, community.

                    Q was very lucky Fissure found a piece of trash on the ground with the second Dora written on it- this saved the PAX from a very short, easy workout.

                    We may be the test cases for how the human body responds to 100+ fire hydrants. Results to follow

                    Q tried to manufacture an obstacle course on the mosey by finding approximately 37 curbs to hop over in 1/2 mile.
