    In the ever-changing points of frustration that is 2020 it is a challenge to be content and happy in every situation and circumstance. Philippians 4:13 is a very familiar passage that says, “I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me”, but we often miss the verses before that focus on the “all things” Paul is talking about. When he says, “all things”, though there is a greater implication, he is also focusing on his ability to be content/happy if times are good or even when times are very bad. How does he do keep cool when things suck? …He says that his relationship with Jesus Christ is the “secret of his contentment”. When your circumstances rise above your ability to remain content/happy, remember you can do “all things” through Christ who will strengthen you, even being content/happy in the midst of crazy.

        High Intensity w/coupons
        Concept is easy, the execution can be breathtaking (literally).  10 Exercises per round, 20 Reps per exercise.  Run a lap after each round of about 1/4 mile.  Rinse and Repeat as many rounds as you can accomplish in 40 minutes.  (C) means use coupon.

        Burpees – Curls (C) – Imperial Walkers – Tricep Ext (C) – Plank Jacks – Squats (C) – Mountain Climbers – Lunges (C) – SSH – Flutter Kicks (C)

        10 Total PAX completed – 886 Burpees and 7, 860 total reps.  Also, in all completed 8.75 Miles running around park!  Not bad with 3 Respects and 1 Respect Respect!

          Rinse and repeat as the burpees ascend to 10 at the start point and descend to 1 at the opposite end

              3rd F – Faith. Belief in something bigger than yourself. We have a lot of Christian men in the group and affiliations with churches at different AOs, but it is important that all men feel welcome.

              Q discussed “spending” vs “investing”. Spending is a transactional term. You give money to get a thing. Or you give time to get money. It is focused on a deliverable or getting to the next step.

              Investing is a relational term. You put money in to an account with a long-term vision. You invest time with your family to build them up. You pour energy into a hobby or skill to improve.

              F3 is the same way. You can come spend some time and energy, talk to some guys, and head out. There is nothing wrong with that. But there is another level that can happen at an AO when Qs are spending time developing workouts and the PAX are investing in each other. We have a couple of 3rd-F initiatives across F3 Chattanooga, and you are each encouraged to participate as you can. But we also believe some of the most effective community impact can happen at the AO level with a need seen in the immediate neighborhood that gets addressed by a small group of HIM. If you know of an opportunity for service reach out to an AOQ.

              After about 20 seconds of bear crawls the Q left a handy sweat trail to follow on the crawl bears.

              The tennis court lines seemed straight at first, but they got blurry and further apart as the beatdown progressed.

              Bear crawl suicides were called “maniacal”. Q greatly appreciates this compliment.

                Split into 2 groups, Indian run to the first Church at the base of Holy Hill. At each corner, the Pax would perform an exercise, then run to the next corner, holding plank until the 6 made it to that station. Exercises consisted of:

                • 10 Burpees
                • 20 Shoulder Touches
                • 30 LBCs
                • 40 Squats

                Ran up the slight incline of Holy Hill to the second Church. Repeated format:

                • 20 Merkins
                • 30 Flutterkicks
                • 40 Squats
                • 50 Lunges

                The Pax ran back to the starting point for a round of “Bring Sally up, bring Sally down” with High planks and Low planks.

                The Pax ran back to the Commons parking lot for some light Mary. The Q couldn’t call cadence (let alone count), so the Pax did “about” 25 Freddie Mercury’s, “about” 15 flutter kicks, and “about” 15 American Hammers…. “about”.

                Q tried to provide some perspective on the male community leadership aspects of F3, but was too winded from the beatdown to make a coherent sentence.

                  Held starting position and performed rep each time your heard the cue word. Performed this exercise to the AC/DC song Big Balls, which is 2 1/2 minutes long. And yes, the cue word was “Balls”.

                  Return to the Burpees round you were on before the Core Work and start working down until time was called.

                  Performed a 30 second AMRAP burpees to finish the workout.

                  Most of the PAX had never heard of Big Balls by AC/DC until this morning. Obviuosly the PAX enjoyed the playlist today much more than the one from this past Wednesday. It was made aware during the COT that The Count needed to use the restroom desperatley. This may or may not have made it into the closing prayer. The Count is also the fastest person I have ever seen using a portable toilet. If it weren’t for his quickness and ability to squeeze past tight spaces, he may still be in the portable toilet.
