Never take your health for granted. I shared with the PAX that my wife is struggling with health issues, and has been for quite some time. We have been through a ton of doctors appointments, including a trip to the Mayo Clinic. We are frustrated because we do not have an answer to her chronic fatigue, sore body, and consistently high heart rate. As I made a prayer request for this matter, I expressed how motivating it is to see our groups of F3 men showing up to get better all over town, every morning. We are using our healthy bodies for a solid purpose… to help each other get stronger physically via the Fitness, and mentally via the Fellowship and Faith. Keep taking advantage of being healthy, and push yourself (and each other) to be strong as we can be. We never know when we’ll need to fight…. whether the battle be mental or physical. Keep up the good work!

    Set up stations at each corner of the Dominoes Plaza. Do an exercise at each station then rotate to the next station. Jail break on the long sides of the plaza and Karaoke on the east side of the building and bearcrawl on the West side of the building. (Bearcrawls modified to Long jumps or Bunny Hops after second round.)

          YHC has been very encouraged by the leadership shown from the Hacksaw contingent over the past couple months at Smackdown. It’s satisfying to see the workouts bleeding over to the principles of leadership. I cannot express my appreciation enough of their support of the newer AOs and their willingness to be part of their growth and strategy.


          F3 is an oddly shaped organization where we are apart of an organization “OF” Leaders; as opposed to “WITH” Leaders (oh, and it’s FREE). Unfortunately – those organizations with “Leaders” aren’t always the best kind of Leaders.

          Good leadership oftentimes begets good leaders. I shared something I read recently:

          The leader is always striving to grow, to improve, and is deeply concerned that those around him do the same. He or she has no nobler responsibility than seeing to the personal and professional improvement of others.

Jesus came to clean up a mess he didn’t make (what MEN do)…but since I know everyone will read this back blast 😉 …there ya go!

              Prayers for Pro’s Mom and 10yo son of a friend of mine (Isaac) diagnosed with leukemia a year ago. Has battled for the past year going through chemo and thought they had it licked. Testing from spinal tap check up last Monday revealed he has relapsed and appears worse than original. Will now need to begin even more aggressive treatment including bone marrow transplant and even then 5 yr prognosis is bleak…they are telling him today. :((

                Q discussed busyness and rest, and how we are all so busy all the time. This is not a good or healthy thing. This can be seen especially when you have difficulty resting – your mind goes to what you should be doing, what the next goal is, things you need to get done. We have trouble turning our minds off and truly resting, but this is key for life balance. Q encouraged everyone to find time to get true rest over the holiday, and assess if it made you feel nervous, jittery etc. This could be a sign you need to reorganize/reprioritize your life. Real rest ensures you have extra juice in the tank when you need it – for family, community etc.

                    Still in Domino’s lot, each Pax given their very own cone to keep for the duration
                    10 burpee jump overs (the cone), 10 merkins, 10 squats
                    Mosey across Apison Pike, past Imagination station area along the greenway
                    20 burpee jump overs, 20 merkins, 20 squats
                    Mosey further along the greenway sidewalk that follows the tree line about 200 yds
                    10 burpee jump overs, 10 merkins, 10 squats
                    Mosey across grass field stopping at the cul de sac/circle/turnaround by the pavillion

                    Cones awaited us. 4 lines of 4 cones spaced 5 yards apart. Pax lined up shoulder to shoulder along one end.
                    Round 1: Bear Crawl suicides with Crawl Bears back to the start. Fortunately for everyone crawling bear required going uphill a little.
                    Round 2: Starting from the opposite end of the cones we rinsed and repeated round 1
                    Round 3: Starting from same end as Rd 2, broad jump/bunny hop to second cone then 10 burpees/10 bonnie blairs/10 big boi sit-ups, broad jump/bunny hop to third cone and 10 more reps of each, same to fourth and final cone then bear crawl back to start

                    Mosey back across grass field stopping on sidewalk to SSH for the six and a lone runner
                    Mosey back along the greenway toward Imagination Station 200 yards
                    20 burpee jump overs, 20 merkins, 20 squats
                    Mosey back to Domino’s, done

                    We spoke about that first quadrant of the Q source: Get right. To fight off the Sad Clown Syndrom we can’t go it alone. F3 may not be the “end all be all” but it’s what has worked for thousands of guys. Fight the urge to figure it out on your own and simply get through the day. A man needs help to get right.
